After the move, Rodger and his partner realize they have differing business approaches.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2>1985 \u2013 New Commission Structure Established<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rodger Riney buys out his partner and maintains the company name, Scottsdale Securities, now headquartered in West St. Louis County. The volume allows Scottsdale Securities to set a new $7 price for online trades \u2013 making it one of the lowest trade commissions in the industry.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2>2000 \u2013 Name Changed to Scottrade<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The company\u2019s name is changed from Scottsdale Securities to Scottrade, Inc., to reflect the name of its website. Also this year, Scottrade\u00ae begins its internship program.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2>2001 &amp; 2002 \u2013 J.D. Power Award Winner<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Scottrade is named \u201cHighest in Investor Satisfaction with Online Trading Services\u201d by J.D. Power and Associates. This award helps boost the growth of the company.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2003 \u2013 Chinese Trading Website Launches<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Scottrade launches a Chinese-language online trading site and is acknowledged again by J.D. Power and Associates. Scottrade\u2019s associate count exceeds 1,000.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2004 \u2013 New Corporate Headquarters<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Scottrade\u2019s 200th branch office opens, and the investment company receives its fifth consecutive honor from J.D. Power and Associates. The Corporate Headquarters is relocated to a new building, called Corporate Hill, in West St. Louis County.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2005 \u2013 25th Anniversary Celebration<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the company\u2019s 25th anniversary, Scottrade associates restore Rodger Riney\u2019s treasured Corvette, which he drove to Scottsdale, Ariz., in 1980. Power and Associates and begins opening accounts for registered investment advisors through Scottrade\u00ae Advisor Services.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2006 \u2013 Scottrade Secures Naming Rights<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Scottrade becomes the primary sponsor of the National Hockey League\u2019s (NHL) St. Louis Blues and their home arena, which is renamed \u201cScottrade Center.\u201d Rodger Riney rings the NASDAQ closing bell in recognition of a partnership to offer NASDAQ TotalView\u00ae quotes to Scottrade clients.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>2007 \u2013 Branch Network Reaches Milestone<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With 306 branch offices, Scottrade becomes the online investing firm with the largest branch network. Scottrade Financial Services, Inc. is formed, and J.D.
