Stocks were pushed lower by some weak economic data in China and Europe, which raised concerns about the global economy. Investors also remained worried about the sovereign debt crisis in the euro zone.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-15638\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>All three major indexes ended near their session lows. Basic Materials stocks also fell sharply in trading today, ending the day 2.71% lower. Industrials ended the day 2.53% lower, while Conglomerates ended the day 2.38% lower. Consumer Cyclical stocks ended the day 1.70% lower. Technology stocks ended the day 2.58% lower.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major losers in trading today were TiVo Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=tivo\">NASDAQ: TIVO<\/a>), which ended the day 1.99% lower at $9.38, Pandora Media Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=p\">NYSE: P<\/a>), which ended the day 11.31% lower at $10.51, Groupon Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=grpn\">NASDAQ: GRPN<\/a>), which ended the day 15.50% lower at $16.96, and InterOil Corporation (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nyse\/today.aspx\">NYSE<\/a>: IOC), which ended the day 14.38% lower at $52.38.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major gainers in trading today were Green Dot Corporation (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=gdot\">NYSE: GDOT<\/a>), which ended the day 7.67% higher at $29.62, Jefferies Group Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=jef\">NYSE: JEF<\/a>), which ended the day 4.47% higher at $10.51, and Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nyse\/today.aspx\">NYSE<\/a>: TC), which ended the day 2.01% higher at $6.08.<\/p>\n<p>European markets ended mostly lower in trading today after Germany, the strongest euro zone economy, struggled to sell 10-year <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/bonds\/today.aspx\">bonds<\/a>.
