All three major indexes had risen sharply earlier today after the November jobs report showed a surprise drop in unemployment rate.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-16209\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Unemployment rate in the U.S. fell to 8.6% in November, a two and a half year low and down from 9% in October. The U.S. economy, meanwhile, added 120,000 jobs in the month of November. However, the momentum was lost in late trading and all three major indexes ended flat. The <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/dowjones\/today.aspx\">Dow Jones<\/a> ended the day 0.01% lower at 12,019.42, the <a href=\"https:\/\/stockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/sp500\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"snp500 today\">S&amp;P 500<\/a> ended the day 0.02% lower at 1,244.28, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nasdaq\/today.aspx\">Nasdaq<\/a> ended the day 0.03% higher at 2,626.93.<\/p>\n<p>Consumer Cyclical and Financial stocks were the best performers in the S&amp;P 500 today. Consumer Cyclical stocks ended the day 1% higher, while Financials ended the day 1.10% higher. Healthcare stocks were the worst performers in trading today, ending the day 1.01% lower. Utilities also fell sharply in trading today, ending the day 0.81% lower.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major gainers and losers in trading today were Navios Maritime Holdings Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=nm\">NYSE: NM<\/a>), which ended the day 14.71% higher at $3.90, Zumiez Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=zumz\">NASDAQ: ZUMZ<\/a>), which ended the day 24.05% higher at $28.99, H&amp;R Block Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=hrb\">NYSE: HRB<\/a>), which ended the day 6.41% lower at $15.03, Research In Motion Limited (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=rimm\">NASDAQ: RIMM<\/a>), which ended the day 9.74% lower at $16.77, Alexander &amp; Baldwin Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=alex\">NYSE: ALEX<\/a>), which ended the day 16.63% higher at $44.39, PVH Corp. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nyse\/today.aspx\">NYSE<\/a>: PVH), which ended the day 7.63% higher at $72.78, and Big Lots Inc.
