(<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=AAPL\">NASDAQ:AAPL<\/a>), when a United States judge ordered that Samsung is \u201cfree to sell\u201d its devices in the country.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-16317\"><\/span>The victory gained by Samsung is being considered the most important legal victory to have been won by Samsung, after facing tablet bans in Australia and Germany. The two smartphone and tablet manufacturers are involved in a bitter international battle over the design and patents owned by the two companies.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, an Australian court ordered that Samsung was free to sell its tablets in Australia, however Apple was given the freedom to file against this lawsuit, which it did on Friday, successively banning the Samsung tablet once more, this time till December 9<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><!--mfunc adshow_display_ad_file_v2(array('ad_random_1.txt'), array(100), array('align' => 'float right', 'clear' => '', 'margin_top' => '', 'margin_bottom' => '', 'padding_top' => '', 'padding_bottom' => ''), array(), array()) --><\/p>\n<div style=\"float:right;margin-left:5px;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1408583772585547\";\n\/* SMW - in News 300 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"5684630733\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p><!--\/mfunc--><\/p>\n<p>The verdict announced by the United States judge had a positive impact on the stocks of Samsung, which rose by 2 percent on Friday on the Korean stock exchange. Apple Inc.\u2019s stocks saw little change on Friday, although the company\u2019s stocks rose by 1.6 percent on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Samsung is now the world\u2019s largest smartphone manufacturer, surpassing Apple in the last quarter. A ban of the company\u2019s flagship line of Galaxy smartphones could have led to a dramatic change in this figure. Apple has accused Samsung\u2019s Galaxy line of tablets and smartphones of infringing on its designs. A ban in United States could have cost Samsung as high as $1.5 billion. With Christmas shopping season begun, a block would have given other Android phones from its competitors a huge boost.<\/p>\n<p>With Samsung outselling Apple and infringing in its market, Apple has become very active in the area of lawsuits. This lawsuits have however led to Samsung\u2019s devices gaining in popularity and outselling Apple itself. Apple iOS market share has dropped to 16.6 percent, while Google\u2019s Android now dominates more than 50 percent of the market.<\/p>\n<p>Apple and Samsung however, have to compete against low cost tablets from RIM and Amazon, along with a host of other competitors. These competitors are beating Apple and Samsung in terms of cost.<\/p>\n<p>Apple will continue to dominate the tablet market for a while, even with Amazon outselling Apple during Black Friday. However, Apple said that it too saw a surge in the number of tablets sold during the Black Friday shopping holiday, without specifying the number of tablets sold.
