<\/a>IBM<\/strong> (NYSE<\/a>:IBM<\/a><\/strong>) has completed acquisition of Netezza to increase its strength in the business analytics initiatives. Netezza specializes in bringing a higher degree of control over the costs of running a business into the hands of business users. This will add perfectly to IBM\u2019s<\/strong> (NYSE<\/a>:IBM<\/a><\/strong>) business information division that works to increase performance at a lower cost.<\/p>\n

\nThe news of acquisition of Netezza by IBM<\/strong> (NYSE<\/a>:IBM<\/a><\/strong>) first surfaced in Sep 20, 2010. The deal was closed for an undisclosed amount. This is IBM\u2019s<\/strong> (NYSE:IBM<\/a><\/strong>) 24th acquisition in the past 4 years, where it acquired companies worth $14 billion in total. Netezza\u2019s management software will be implemented in to IBM\u2019s<\/strong> (NYSE:IBM<\/a><\/strong>) own Info Management software.<\/p>\n
