On Thursday, Greek political leaders agreed to further austerity measures and reforms. However, the country\u2019s international lenders are still to approve the next round of bailout funds, which are needed to avert a messy default.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-20642\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>At last check, <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\">spot gold<\/a> was trading 1.17% lower at $1,710.80 an ounce. <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\">Gold<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/commodities\/today.aspx\">futures<\/a> for delivery in April on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange are currently trading 1.62% lower at $1,713 an ounce.<\/p>\n<p><!--mfunc adshow_display_ad_file_v2(array('ad_random_1.txt'), array(100), array('align' => 'float right', 'clear' => '', 'margin_top' => '', 'margin_bottom' => '', 'padding_top' => '', 'padding_bottom' => ''), array(), array()) --><\/p>\n<div style=\"float:right;margin-left:5px;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1408583772585547\";\n\/* SMW - in News 300 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"5684630733\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p><!--\/mfunc--><\/p>\n<p>Peter Fung, Head of Dealing at Wing Fung Precious Metals in Hong Kong, told Reuters that many are still standing on the side waiting for something new to happen in the market.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\">Gold prices<\/a> are falling even though the CME Group cut Comex <a href=\"https:\/\/stockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"gold price today\">gold<\/a> trading margins. According to Fung, Comex cut margins probably because the market volatility was low and people did not have much interest.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/stockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/pre-market\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Premarket Movers\">pre-market trading<\/a> in New York, the SPDR Gold Trust (ETF) (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=GLD\">NYSE: GLD<\/a>) is down 1.02% to $166.30, the Market Vectors ETF Trust (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=GDX\">NYSE: GDX<\/a>) is down 1.54% to $54.40, and the iShares Gold Trust (ETF) (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nyse\/today.aspx\">NYSE<\/a>: IAU) is down 1.31% to $16.63.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/silver-price.aspx\">Silver prices<\/a> are also down sharply in trading currently.
