The <a href=\"https:\/\/stockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/sp500\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"snp500 today\">S&amp;P 500<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nasdaq\/today.aspx\">Nasdaq<\/a> posted gains for the week though.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-22036\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/dowjones\/today.aspx\">Dow Jones<\/a> ended the day 0.02% lower at 12,977.57, the S&amp;P 500 ended the day 0.42% lower at 1,368.32, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nasdaq\/today.aspx\">Nasdaq<\/a> ended the day 0.43% lower at 2,976.19.<\/p>\n<p><!--mfunc adshow_display_ad_file_v2(array('ad_random_1.txt'), array(100), array('align' => 'float right', 'clear' => '', 'margin_top' => '', 'margin_bottom' => '', 'padding_top' => '', 'padding_bottom' => ''), array(), array()) --><\/p>\n<div style=\"float:right;margin-left:5px;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1408583772585547\";\n\/* SMW - in News 300 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"5684630733\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p><!--\/mfunc--><\/p>\n<p>For the week, the <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/dowjones\/today.aspx\">Dow Jones<\/a> fell 0.05%, the S&amp;P 500 rose 0.19%, and the Nasdaq rose 0.42%.<\/p>\n<p>All sectors in the S&amp;P 500 finished in red today. Energy stocks were the worst performers in the S&amp;P 500, ending the day 1.03% lower. Basic Materials stocks ended the day 0.81% lower. Industrials ended the day 0.76% lower. Consumer Cyclical stocks ended the day 0.69% lower, while Technology stocks ended the day 0.36% lower. Financials fell 0.48%.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major gainers and losers in trading today were Overstock.com Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=OSTK\">NASDAQ: OSTK<\/a>), which ended the day 11.19% lower at $6.11, US Home Systems Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=USHS\">NASDAQ:USHS<\/a>), which ended the day 23.80% lower at $11.24, Wynn Resorts Limited (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=WYNN\">NASDAQ: WYNN<\/a>), which ended the day 4.27% higher at $127.27, Shutterfly Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=SFLY\">NASDAQ: SFLY<\/a>), which ended the day 16.54% higher at $31.36, Big Lots Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=BIG%20\">NYSE: BIG<\/a>), which ended the day 4% lower at $42.71, Foot Locker Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nyse\/today.aspx\">NYSE<\/a>: FL), which ended the day 1.86% lower at $28.97, and Yelp Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nyse\/today.aspx\">NYSE<\/a>: YELP), which ended the day 63.87% higher at $24.58.<\/p>\n<p>European markets ended on a mixed note today, with the FTSE 100 Index in London closing 0.34% lower and the CAC 40 Index in Paris closing 0.04% higher. The EURO STOXX 50 Index ended the day 0.10% lower.
