The <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nasdaq\/today.aspx\">Nasdaq<\/a>, meanwhile, logged in its best quarterly performance since 1991.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-23889\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/dowjones\/today.aspx\">Dow Jones<\/a> rose 8.14% in the quarter, the S&amp;P 500 rose 12% in the quarter, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nasdaq\/today.aspx\">Nasdaq<\/a> rose 18.67% for the quarter. The gains in the quarter were driven by some strong U.S. economic data.<\/p>\n<p><!--Ad Injection mfunc mode ad code--><!--mfunc adshow_display_ad_file_v2(array('ad_random_1.txt'), array(100), array('align' => 'float right', 'clear' => '', 'margin_top' => '', 'margin_bottom' => '', 'padding_top' => '', 'padding_bottom' => ''), array(), array()) --><\/p>\n<div style=\"float:right;margin-left:5px;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1408583772585547\";\n\/* SMW - in News 300 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"5684630733\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p><!--\/mfunc--><\/p>\n<p>Wells Capital Management Chief Investment Strategist Jim Paulsen told Reuters that he would look to change allocations from stocks that have done really well in the first quarter and move a little capital to stocks that have trailed a little bit.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the <a href=\"https:\/\/stockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/dowjones\/today.aspx\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Dow Jones Today\">Dow Jones<\/a> ended 0.50% higher at 13,212.04, the S&amp;P 500 ended the day 0.37% higher at 1,408.47, and the Nasdaq ended the day 0.12% lower at 3,091.57.<\/p>\n<p>Energy and Consumer Non-Cyclical stocks were the best performers on Friday. Both sectors ended the day 0.81% higher. Basic Materials stocks ended the day 0.60% higher, whole Consumer Cyclical stocks ended the day 0.55% higher. Financials ended the day 0.32% higher.<\/p>\n<p>For the week, the Dow Jones rose 1%, the S&amp;P 500 rose 0.81%, and the Nasdaq rose 0.77%.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major gainers on Friday were Groupon Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=GRPN\">NASDAQ: GRPN<\/a>), which ended the day 3.84% higher at $18.38, Cybex International Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=CYBI\">NASDAQ: CYBI<\/a>), which ended the day 13.45% higher at $2.53, ImmunoGen Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=IMGN\">NASDAQ: IMGN<\/a>), which ended the day 4.73% higher at $14.39, Spanish Broadcasting System Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=SBSA\">NASDAQ: SBSA<\/a>), which ended the day 43.31% higher at $6.75, and ASA <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\">Gold<\/a> and Precious Metals Ltd.
