The gains in the S&amp;P 500 are currently being led by Technology stocks, which are up 1.64%. Energy stocks are currently trading 1.62% higher, while Basic Materials stocks are currently trading 1.46% higher. Financials are currently trading 1.31% higher. Conglomerates are currently trading 1.62% higher, while Industrials are currently trading 1.44% higher.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major gainers in trading currently are Comerica Incorporated (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=CMA\">NYSE: CMA<\/a>), which is currently trading 3.31% higher at $31.88, Digital Domain Media Group Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=DDMG\">NYSE: DDMG<\/a>), which is currently trading 15.92% higher at $5.92, Northern Trust Corporation (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=NTRS\">NASDAQ: NTRS<\/a>), which is currently trading 1.95% higher at $47.06, Forest Laboratories Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=FRX\">NYSE: FRX<\/a>), which is currently trading 4.01% higher at $34.99, and Apple Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=AAPL\">NASDAQ: AAPL<\/a>), which is currently trading 3.21% higher at $598.74.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major losers in trading currently are Johnson &amp; Johnson (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nyse\/today.aspx\">NYSE<\/a>: JNJ), which is currently trading 0.20% lower at $63.85, and Apollo Residential Mortgage Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nyse\/today.aspx\">NYSE<\/a>: AMTG), which is currently trading 6.12% lower at $17.96.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, a report released by the Commerce Department showed that housing starts fell unexpectedly in March. According to figures released by the Commerce Department, housing starts slipped 5.8% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 654,000 units in March.
