Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/silver-price.aspx\">silver prices<\/a> are down in early trading.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-25952\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\">Spot gold<\/a>\u00a0gained $1.12 to $1,663.44 an ounce by 0301 GMT,\u00a0However, the metal was heading for its third monthly decline. Earlier, the yellow metal had risen to $1,667.11 on Friday, its highest level since April 13, on disappointing U.S. growth and European debt concerns.<\/p>\n<p><!--Ad Injection mfunc mode ad code--><!--mfunc adshow_display_ad_file_v2(array('ad_random_1.txt'), array(100), array('align' => 'float right', 'clear' => '', 'margin_top' => '', 'margin_bottom' => '', 'padding_top' => '', 'padding_bottom' => ''), array(), array()) --><\/p>\n<div style=\"float:right;margin-left:5px;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1408583772585547\";\n\/* SMW - in News 300 *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"5684630733\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p><!--\/mfunc--><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\">gold<\/a>\u00a0for June was little changed at $1,664.50 an ounce, at last check.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\">Gold<\/a> investors are now expecting that Fed might provide another round of quantitative easing, aimed at boosting U.S. economy after last week\u2019s economic indicators showed that the U.S. economy lost some momentum in the first quarter of 2012.<\/p>\n<p>However, some analysts don\u2019t agree that Federal Reserve will be in a hurry to provide monetary stimulus and call for some caution before betting heavily into <a href=\"https:\/\/stockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"gold price today\">gold<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, one physical gold dealer in Hong Kong said to Reuters \u201cWe don&#8217;t know whether there will be QE3, so we have to wait for more economic data to come out. If the economic performance continues to be good, then there will be a diminishing prospect for QE.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Dominic Schnider, head of commodity research at UBS Wealth Management in Singapore also believes that it is too early to think about bullion rally. \u201cIn the short run, you can have one or two weeks for the market to get excited about QE. It&#8217;s fair enough. I am still going to call for a lower <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/metal\/gold-price.aspx\">gold price<\/a>,\u201d said Schnider to Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>The physical gold market continues to send jitters among investors.
