All three major indexes posted a loss for the week.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-34648\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/dowjones\/today.aspx\">Dow Jones<\/a> ended the day 0.13% lower at 13,579.47, the <a href=\"https:\/\/stockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/sp500\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"snp500 today\">S&amp;P 500<\/a> ended the day 0.01% lower at 1,460.15, and the Nasdaq ended the day 0.13% higher at 3,179.96.<\/p>\n<p>For the week, the <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/dowjones\/today.aspx\">Dow Jones<\/a> fell 0.10%, the S&amp;P 500 fell 0.38%, and the Nasdaq fell 0.13%.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, stocks got off to a strong start after the Financial Times reported that EU authorizes are working on a bailout program for Spain, which is likely to be unveiled next week. The report sent European stocks higher on Friday, with the EURO STOXX 50 Index ending the day 0.94% higher. Asian markets also ended the day in green, with the Nikkei 225 Index in Japan closing 0.25% higher an the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong closing 0.70% higher.<\/p>\n<p>In the U.S., Healthcare sector was the best performer in the S&amp;P 500 in trading on Friday. The sector ended the day 0.48% higher. Energy sector also rose sharply on Friday, ending the day 0.32% higher. Industrials rose 0.13%, while Financials rose 0.11%. Transportation sector was the worst performer in the S&amp;P 500 on Friday, ending the day 0.80% lower. Basic Materials sector ended the day 0.29% lower.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major gainers and losers in trading on Friday were KB Home (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=KBH\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYSE: KBH<\/a>), which ended the day 16.40% higher at $15.26, VIVUS Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=VVUS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NASDAQ: VVUS<\/a>), which ended the day 11.47% lower at $21, Apple Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=AAPL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NASDAQ: AAPL<\/a>), which ended the day 0.20% higher at $700.09, Cooper Tire &amp; Rubber Company (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=CTB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYSE: CTB<\/a>), which ended the day 9.32% lower at $19.94, and Darden Restaurants Inc.
