Stocks have slipped today even as investors digested better than expected nonfarm payrolls data for the month of October. According to figures released by the Labor Department, the U.S. economy added 171,000 jobs last month, beating economists\u2019 forecast of a gain of 125,000 jobs.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-36915\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>At last check, the <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/dowjones\/today.aspx\">Dow Jones<\/a> was trading 0.83% lower at 13,122.88, the <a href=\"https:\/\/stockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/sp500\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"snp500 today\">S&amp;P 500<\/a> was trading 0.65% lower at 1,418.30, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/markets\/nasdaq\/today.aspx\">Nasdaq<\/a> was trading 0.84% lower at 2,994.68.<\/p>\n<p>All sectors in the S&amp;P 500 are currently in red. Basic Materials and Energy sectors have been the worst performers today. At last check, Basic Materials sector was down 1.24%, while Energy sector was down 1.04%. Industrials are also down sharply in late trading today. At last check, the sector was trading 0.88% lower. Financials are currently trading 0.65% lower. Technology sector is currently down 0.93%.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major losers in late trading are Pitney Bowes Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=PBI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYSE: PBI<\/a>), which is currently trading 12.57% lower at $12.80, Apple Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=AAPL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NASDAQ: AAPL<\/a>), which is currently trading 2.48% lower at $581.76, Chevron Corporation (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=CVX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYSE: CVX<\/a>), which is currently trading 3.19% lower at $107.92, Globus Medical Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=GMED\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYSE: GMED<\/a>), which is currently trading 15.28% lower at $14.97, and Yelp Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=YELP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYSE: YELP<\/a>), which is currently trading 12.73% lower at $20.97.<\/p>\n<p>Among the major gainers currently are TripAdvisor Inc. (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=TRIP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NASDAQ: TRIP<\/a>), which is currently trading 20.71% higher at $35.50, and Priceline.com Inc.
