{"id":38016,"date":"2012-11-28T03:39:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-28T03:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock-market-news\/green-mountain-coffee-roasters-rally-after-posting-q4-results-gmcr\/38016\/"},"modified":"2012-11-28T03:39:00","modified_gmt":"2012-11-28T03:39:00","slug":"green-mountain-coffee-roasters-rally-after-posting-q4-results-gmcr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stockmarketwatch.com\/stock-market-news\/green-mountain-coffee-roasters-rally-after-posting-q4-results-gmcr\/38016\/","title":{"rendered":"Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Rally After Posting Q4 Results GMCR)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1408583772585547\";\n\/* SMW - News Links *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3490797620\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 468;\ngoogle_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>Shares of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=GMCR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NASDAQ: GMCR<\/a>) leaped nearly 22% during aftermarket trade on Tuesday after its fiscal fourth quarter results comfortably beat analysts\u2019 consensual estimates while the company also provided a robust outlook both on current quarter and next fiscal.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-38016\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>For the fiscal fourth quarter ended September 29, Green Mountain reported income of $91.9 million or 58 cents a share compared to profit of $75.4 million or 47 cents a share, in the year earlier quarter.<\/p>\n<p>After excluding onetime expenses\/gains, or the (non-GAAP) earnings came at 64 cents beating analysts\u2019 consensual estimate of 48 cents a share.<\/p>\n<p>Net sales for the period climbed 33 percent to $946.7 million while analysts polled by Thomson Reuters were expecting sales of $902.7 million.<\/p>\n<p>For the current first quarter Green Mountain is expecting earnings in the range of 62 cents to 67 cents a share while net sales are expected to grow by 14 percent to 18 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The company also upwardly revised its guidance on new fiscal year. Green Mountain now expects earnings between $2.64 and $2.74 a share, up from its earlier projections of $2.55 to $2.65 a share.
