However, during European trading hours the yen pared some of its losses. At around 8:45 a.m. EST, the yen was down 1.01% to trade at 99.16 yen.<\/p>\n<p>In a note to clients, Geoff Kendrick, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knowfinance.com\/currency\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">currency<\/a> strategist at Nomura said, \u201cWorries that the G20 could criticize Japan were a reason not to push dollar\/yen up before &#8230; Now it will probably take out 100 yen next week,\u201d according to Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>The weakness in yen also boosted some other high yielding currencies such as the Australian Dollar, euro as speculators felt that Japan\u2019s domestic investors would now seek higher yields in other markets.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the euro also jumped against the US dollar.
