{"id":46299,"date":"2013-07-31T03:22:00","date_gmt":"2013-07-31T03:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock-market-news\/buffalo-wild-wings-reports-28-jump-in-q2-revenue-bwld\/46299\/"},"modified":"2013-07-31T03:22:00","modified_gmt":"2013-07-31T03:22:00","slug":"buffalo-wild-wings-reports-28-jump-in-q2-revenue-bwld","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.stockmarketwatch.com\/stock-market-news\/buffalo-wild-wings-reports-28-jump-in-q2-revenue-bwld\/46299\/","title":{"rendered":"Buffalo Wild Wings Reports 28% Jump in Q2 Revenue (BWLD)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1408583772585547\";\n\/* SMW - News Links *\/\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"3490797620\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 468;\ngoogle_ad_height = 15;\n\/\/-->\n<\/script><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>Buffalo Wild Wings (<a href=\"https:\/\/thestockmarketwatch.com\/stock.aspx?stock=BWLD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NASDAQ: BWLD<\/a>) reported late on Tuesday that its fiscal second-quarter net income rose 41% as opening of new stores boosted the restaurant operator\u2019s top line growth even as both expenses\u00a0 and chicken wing prices declined.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-46299\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Minneapolis, MN based Company reported earnings of $16.5 million or 88 cents a share, compared to a profit of $11.7 million or 62 cents a share, in the same quarter of last year.<\/p>\n<p>Revenue climbed almost 28% to $305 million from $238.7 million, in the same quarter of last year.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts\u2019 consensus estimate was for earnings of 79 cents a share on revenue of $304.24 million, according to a data compiled by Thomson Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>Same-store-sales rose 3.8% at\u00a0 Company-managed restaurants while it climbed 4.1% at franchised stores, in the fiscal second quarter. Same-store-sales is a key gauge on restaurant chain\u2019s performance since it only includes proceeds from those stores that were operational for at least 12 months thereby eliminating erratic sales trends from those stores that were shuttered or opened in last 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>Total Sales at company owned restaurants jumped 29.4% to $285.4 million, aided mainly by opening of new stores and growth in same-store-sales. In the recently concluded quarter, the chain added 77 new stores.<\/p>\n<p>For the fiscal 2013, Buffalo Wild Wings\u2019 President, Chief Executive and Director, Sally J.
