The data is due on Friday. If the job numbers suggest significant improvement in the labor market then the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knowfinance.com\/federal-reserve-system-fed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Reserve<\/a> might soon start the winding down of the bond purchase program which in turn will prompt investors to cut positions on inflation-hedge bets.<\/p>\n<p>Gold futures for delivery in December fell $1.80 to settle at $1,311.20 an ounce, while spot gold prices were last down 0.9% to $1,310 an ounce.
