This robust market performance, which saw the Dow, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockmarketwatch.com\/indices\/sp500\/today\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"snp500 today\">S&amp;P 500<\/a>, and Nasdaq all hit new records, was primarily driven by economic data: the release of cooler-than-expected September inflation figures. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) report indicated that prices rose <strong>3.0%<\/strong> year-over-year, slightly below the <strong>3.1%<\/strong> anticipated by economists, thereby boosting investor optimism for continued Federal Reserve interest rate cuts.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the positive economic news, several Dow components posted strong gains. <strong>IBM<\/strong> (<a href=\"\/stock\/IBM\">IBM<\/a>) led the charge, surging <strong>8.10%<\/strong> to <strong>$308.16<\/strong>.
