The former President expressed deep resentment toward Norway, citing the Norwegian Nobel Committee's decision to award the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize to South African jurist Navi Pillay instead of him. Trump claimed he "should have received" the honor for ending wars and stated he no longer wants any association with the Scandinavian nation.

Trump’s rhetoric on immigration took a sharp turn as he compared Denmark and Somalia. While he expressed a strong preference for immigrants from Denmark, he described Somalia as a "failed state" with "no government, no police, and no anything." He further alleged that the country's population is characterized by lawlessness and piracy, stating he has "had it with them" regarding U.S. entry.

The speech also touched on unconventional territorial claims and observations on European civil unrest. Trump claimed "we own Greenland," reigniting a diplomatic point of contention with Denmark that dates back to his first term. Additionally, he commented on recent protests in France, dismissing the participants as "large men with very big muscles" rather than students, suggesting a more organized or militant element was behind the demonstrations.

On the domestic front, Trump framed the upcoming political cycle as a battle for national survival. He told supporters that Americans did not spend decades fighting global threats just to "watch it all burn down." He concluded by framing his opposition as "communist jihadists," a term he used to describe a perceived alliance of radical ideologies that he pledged to defeat to protect the country's future.

Key Takeaways Donald Trump explicitly distanced himself from Norway, stating he "does not want anything to do with"
