The company has reported its third quarterly net earnings at $96 million, which is equivalent to 9 cents per share, excluding non-recurring charges of 3 cents. The company surpassed its last year\u2019s performance of $39 million or 4 cents per share.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alcoa Inc. expects 13 percent increase in global aluminum demand.<\/li>\n<li>Alcoa Inc. had earlier pegged its estimate at 12 percent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alcoa Inc. reported $5.3 billion in revenue for the quarter, up from $4.6 billion it earned for the corresponding quarter last year. The company reported 15 percent year on year increase in revenue. The increase is mainly due to increase in aluminum demand and higher alumina shipment.<\/p>\n<p>Alcoa Inc. also doubled its cash from operations to $392 million. While the increase in cash from operations stood at 31 percent in comparison to the second quarter of the year. The company has also trimmed its debt to capital ratio by 2.6 percent on year over year basis. The current debt to capital ratio is at 35.7 percent, down 2.7 percent from the previous quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Alcoa Inc. spent $785 million in capital outlays during the first nine months of 2010. Its annual target for the capital expenditure is $1.25 billion.
